CCNA Cybersecurity (200-201 CCNACBR) Practice Tests

Validates knowledge of security operations work, including security concepts, monitoring, host-based analysis, network intrusion analysis and security procedures.

CCNA Cybersecurity (200-201 CCNACBR, formerly CyberOps Associate or CBROPS) is one 120-minute v1.2 exam with questions built on logs, alerts and packet captures. We compared the main options on current-version coverage, question volume and price.

Good question banks are few, so most people should use Cisco's Exam Review as the current-version check and add the Cert Guide's Pearson exams for cheap extra volume.

Official practice exam

Cisco Exam Review: Cybersecurity Associate

Cisco's own practice exam for 200-201, mapped to the five v1.2 domains and updated in July 2026. Each attempt draws about 75 questions, including lab exercises, from a pool of nearly 400.

Great fit if you want Cisco-written questions and lab exercises for the current exam.

Poor fit if you want a cheaper set bundled with a book; the Cert Guide's Pearson exams cost $48.

CCNA Cybersecurity CCNACBR 200-201 Official Cert Guide, Premium Edition

Four full practice exams and the chapter quizzes in Pearson Test Prep, with study and timed modes and links back to the book. A free digital supplement covers the v1.2 changes.

Great fit if you are studying from the Cert Guide and want a low-cost question set.

Poor fit if you want questions written for v1.2 or lab exercises; use Cisco Exam Review.

What to look for in a CCNA Cybersecurity practice test

  • Match the bank to v1.2. Version 1.2 started July 2, 2025 and weights five domains: security concepts 20%, monitoring 25%, host-based analysis 20%, network intrusion analysis 20% and policies and procedures 15%. Cisco renamed the certification CCNA Cybersecurity in February 2026 and kept the 200-201 code, so older CyberOps and CBROPS sets are for the same exam but may predate v1.2.
  • Expect few third-party banks. Boson, the standard name for CCNA practice, lists only an instructor-led course for 200-201, not an ExSim. A 2023 candidate who failed found the Pearson set too easy, and the Udemy sets turned up had very few ratings.
  • Look for log, alert and packet questions. Cisco's exam is built on SOC work, and a September 2025 passer described many Wireshark case studies and no way to return to earlier questions. Banks of definitions alone will not prepare you for that.
  • Have enough fresh questions. Pearson gives four full exams, and Cisco's Exam Review draws about 75 questions per attempt from a pool of nearly 400. The same passer's advice was to find more practice exams, even paid ones, to meet every question type.
  • Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual CCNA Cybersecurity questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. Cisco's certification agreement bans preparing with compromised exam content, and penalties go up to a lifetime exam ban and loss of all your Cisco certifications. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use CCNA Cybersecurity practice tests

  • Start with a diagnostic. Take one Pearson exam or a Cisco Exam Review attempt before you study and note which of the five domains you miss. Security monitoring is the largest at 25%.
  • Review every miss against the source. A 2022 passer named NIST 800-61, inline versus TAP or mirrored traffic, and the Cyber Kill Chain as topics to know cold. Rebuild each missed question from the log, alert or capture it describes.
  • Practise on real captures and logs. Open packet captures in Wireshark and read NetFlow and log samples until you can say what each one shows. The same September 2025 passer called skipping practical cases a mistake.
  • Do not read one score as a pass signal. Candidates disagree on Pearson: one failed at 70% after finding it too easy, while a 2022 passer found it harder than the real exam. Use two sources and review the reasoning, not the answers.
  • Save timed full runs for the last stretch. Sit them in one 120-minute block and spend as long reviewing as testing.

CCNA Cybersecurity practice test FAQ

Are there free CCNA Cybersecurity practice tests?

Cisco does not offer a free practice exam; its Exam Review costs $79. The Pearson exams come with the $48 Premium Edition Cert Guide.

Are the Pearson practice exams harder than the real exam?

Candidates disagree. One failed at 70% after finding them too easy; a 2022 passer found them harder than the real exam. Use them to find weak domains and add a second source.

What kinds of questions are on the exam?

Cisco does not publish counts or types. Candidates describe multiple choice and drag-and-drop questions, with many scenarios built on Wireshark captures and logs.

Are CyberOps Associate practice tests still valid?

They are for the same 200-201 exam, which Cisco renamed CCNA Cybersecurity in February 2026. Prefer sets that state v1.2 and the five current domains.
