SC-300 runs 100 minutes, and Microsoft says most of its exams have 40 to 60 questions. Expect long Microsoft Entra scenarios, usually with a case study, and some candidates report lab tasks. We compared the main options on exam-style wording, case-study practice and price.

Start with Microsoft's free practice assessment, then use MeasureUp as the closest realistic bank and Tutorials Dojo or Whizlabs for cheaper extra sets.

SC-300 practice assessment

Microsoft's own practice questions, written by the team that builds the exam, with a rationale and learning links for every answer. Candidates find its short questions easier than the exam's paragraph-length scenarios.

Great fit if you want a free baseline and a read on which Entra skill areas need work.

Poor fit if you want long scenarios or a timed run; move on to MeasureUp.

Poor fit if you want a quick check or a low price; start with the free assessment or Tutorials Dojo.

Low-cost timed sets

SC-300 Practice Exams

Timed, review and section-based sets plus a 50-question randomized test, with explanations that link to Microsoft documentation.

What to look for in a SC-300 practice test

  • Skills list changes on October 28, 2026. The English exam moves to an updated skills list, with minor changes to user authentication, Global Secure Access and privileged access. MeasureUp lists a February 2026 update, so fill any gap from the study guide.
  • Long scenarios, a case study and possible labs. The exam is 40 to 60 questions in 100 minutes. Candidates report paragraph-length questions and a case study, and Microsoft says exams may include labs. Banks are mostly multiple choice, so practise the lab skills in a test tenant.
  • Coverage of hybrid identity and governance. Passing candidates report many questions on AD DS and hybrid identity, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, PIM, entitlement management, access reviews and Defender for Cloud Apps. A good bank covers all four skill areas, not only Conditional Access.
  • Explanations with references. SC-300 asks which Entra feature, role or policy fits the requirement. MeasureUp links each answer option to documentation, and Tutorials Dojo links to Microsoft documentation.
  • Know how hard each bank is. Candidates call the Learn assessment easier than the exam and MeasureUp heavy, with some reporting it harder than the real exam. They describe Tutorials Dojo as easier, with wording that differs from the exam.
  • Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual SC-300 questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. Microsoft's exam policies count brain dumps as cheating and let Microsoft revoke your certifications and bar you from future exams. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use SC-300 practice tests

  • Take the free assessment first. Use it after your first pass through the Learn path, to see which of the four skill areas to build next.
  • Build the features in a test tenant. Passing candidates call a test tenant the most useful prep. Governance and PIM labs need Microsoft Entra ID P2 licences, so use a trial.
  • Practise long scenarios against the clock. Several candidates ran short of time on paragraph-length questions. Run MeasureUp in certification mode before the exam and set a pace for the case study.
  • Review every explanation and compare similar features. Write down the difference between near neighbours, such as user risk and sign-in risk, app registrations and enterprise applications, or delegated and application permissions.
  • Mix banks rather than repeating one. One candidate found MeasureUp repetitive after a while. Use a second bank for fresh wording near your exam date.
