Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate (AI-200) Practice Tests

Validates knowledge of building AI-enabled Azure back-end solutions using containers, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Redis, messaging, security and monitoring.

AI-200 runs 120 minutes, and Microsoft says most of its exams have 40 to 60 questions. Questions ask which Azure service, SDK call or setting fits a scenario across containers, vector-enabled databases, messaging and monitoring. We compared the main options on topic coverage, question volume and price.

Most people should start with Tutorials Dojo's free sampler to see the style, then use a larger bank for timed runs. Banks labelled AZ-204 predate several AI-200 topics.

AI-200 Practice Exams Sampler

Twenty AI-200 questions, once in a timed mode and once in a review mode with answers and rationales, plus bonus flashcards. It is a taster of Tutorials Dojo's paid set.

Great fit if you want to compare Tutorials Dojo's question style with Microsoft's before buying a bank.

Poor fit if you need volume; the full Tutorials Dojo set has 100+ questions and the Udemy bank has far more.

Ten full exams

Microsoft Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate (AI-200) Practice Exams

Ten practice exams totalling 500 questions, weighted to the AI-200 objectives, with each miss pointing back to the concept to review.

Great fit if you want several exam-sized runs rather than one huge pool of questions.

Poor fit if you want the largest possible volume; the Udemy bank has more than twice as many questions.

Largest question pool

AI-200: Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate - 1000+ Questions

Six tests of about 200 questions each across containers, vector search, caching and observability, with explanations. Each test is far longer than a 120-minute exam, so use them as topic drills rather than single timed sittings.

Great fit if you want the biggest low-cost pool of questions to drill every skill area.

Poor fit if you want a polished, well-reviewed set; it is rated 3.7 from 26 learners, so check it against Microsoft's assessment.

What to look for in a AI-200 practice test

  • Built for AI-200, not AZ-204. AI-200 replaced AZ-204, which retired on July 31, 2026. Its skills list adds AKS manifests, KEDA scaling in Container Apps, vector search in Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL and Azure Managed Redis, OpenTelemetry and KQL, which an AZ-204 bank will not test.
  • Current with the October 7, 2026 skills list. Microsoft's update that day gave data services a bigger share, and it is now the largest of the four areas. Look for a bank with plenty of Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL and Redis questions, not just containers and Functions.
  • Code and configuration, not definitions. The skills are phrased as actions: connect with the SDK, tune indexing, write a manifest, write a KQL query. Prefer questions that show a snippet, a setting or an error, and note that the exam can also include interactive components.
  • Explanations that point to documentation. Prefer banks whose explanations link to Microsoft documentation. The exam asks about settings you will not memorise from an answer key, so the reasoning matters more than the letter.
  • Volume that fits the exam length. The exam runs 120 minutes and Microsoft does not publish a question count. Zenva's ten exams of about 50 questions suit timed runs, while the Udemy tests of about 200 questions each suit topic drills.
  • Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual AI-200 questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. Microsoft's exam policies count brain dumps as cheating and let Microsoft revoke your certifications and bar you from future exams. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use AI-200 practice tests

  • Take Microsoft's assessment first. Use it as a diagnostic across the four skill areas, then study the weakest one before buying a larger bank.
  • Rebuild each miss in your own Azure subscription. Deploy the container app, run the Cosmos DB vector query or trigger the Service Bus dead-letter path yourself. Delete AKS, database and Redis resources after each session, since they cost money while running.
  • Read every explanation and open the documentation link. Many wrong options are real settings that suit a different case. For each miss, write down which requirement in the scenario ruled out the option you chose.
  • Track scores by skill area. Keep a tally for containers, data services, connect-and-consume and secure-and-monitor. Data services is the biggest area and is where the vector questions sit.
  • Do two or three timed 120-minute runs late, on unseen questions. Use the big banks in review mode first. Once you remember a test's answers it measures recall, so finish with questions you have not seen.

AI-200 practice test FAQ

Is there a free AI-200 practice test?

Yes, a small one. Tutorials Dojo has a free 20-question sampler, and Microsoft's exam sandbox shows the interface without exam questions.

Can I use AZ-204 practice tests for AI-200?

Partly. Microsoft says AI-200 covers similar ground to AZ-204 with more focus on code and observability, and one candidate planned to warm up with AZ-204 material. AZ-204 retired in July 2026, and AI-200 adds container orchestration and vector database topics.

How many questions are on the AI-200 exam?

Microsoft does not publish a question count. The exam allows 120 minutes and needs a scaled score of 700 to pass, and some tasks can be interactive.

Is there an official AI-200 exam sandbox?

Yes. Microsoft's exam sandbox lets you try the exam interface and question types before test day, but it does not contain AI-200 questions, so pair it with a practice bank.
