Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Enterprise Infrastructure (CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure) Courses

Validates hands-on expertise in designing, deploying and optimizing enterprise networks, including routing, SD-WAN, security, services and automation.

A good CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure course prepares you for the 8-hour hands-on lab, not just the ENCOR written exam. We compared the main options on lab coverage, labs included, format and price.

Most people should start with INE's learning path, which covers ENCOR and every v1.1 lab domain for $799 a year. Choose Micronics for live instruction, Narbik's workbook for extra labs, and Cisco U's ENCOR path only if you have not passed ENCOR.

Complete self-paced path

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure

INE's learning path for the v1.1 lab, with 27 courses, 418 videos, 292 quizzes and 113 labs, much of it taught by Brian McGahan. Premium also includes INE's ENCOR v1.2 path, so one subscription covers both exams.

Great fit if you want one subscription that covers ENCOR and every lab domain

Poor fit if you want live instruction; choose Micronics' bootcamp

Live instruction

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure v1.1 bootcamp

A nine-day instructor-led bootcamp, five days on routing and switching and four on SD-WAN and SD-Access, split about 60% lecture and 40% hands-on labs. Weekday and weekend schedules run through 2027.

Great fit if you learn best from live teaching and want structured SD-WAN and SD-Access labs

Poor fit if you want a low-cost or self-paced option; choose INE

Lab workbook

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Foundation, 2nd edition

Narbik Kocharians' workbook has more than 40 CCIE-level labs with full solutions, from switching and routing protocols to DMVPN, MPLS, SD-WAN and SD-Access. It runs to 944 pages.

Great fit if you want worked labs to rebuild on your own equipment or emulator

Poor fit if you want material that tracks v1.1 exactly; choose INE

ENCOR qualifying exam

Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (ENCOR)

Cisco's official course for the ENCOR qualifying exam, with 32 courses, 14 assessments and 31 labs across about 48 hours. It still contains v1.1 wireless sections you can skip.

Great fit if you have not passed ENCOR yet and want Cisco's own training

Poor fit if you have already passed ENCOR, or want to spend less; INE's $799/year path includes ENCOR

How to choose a CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure course

  • Pass ENCOR first. ENCOR is the qualifying exam you pass before the lab. INE's Premium path includes it, and Cisco U sells a separate ENCOR course.
  • Match lab v1.1. The current lab is v1.1, which includes SD-WAN and SD-Access. Narbik's workbook was published in July 2022, so use it for extra labs and not as your only course.
  • Count the hands-on hours. The lab is eight hours of configuring and troubleshooting. INE has 113 labs and Micronics' bootcamp is about 40% labs, but you still need your own equipment or an emulator to practise.
  • Match the format to how you learn. INE is self-paced video at $799 a year, and Micronics is nine live days at $3,995. A subscription costs far less if you can study alone.

Recommended CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure course combinations

  • Self-study: INE Premium ($799/year), then Cisco's CCIE Practice Labs ($50 per session) for time on real exam equipment and the Graded Lab ($1,000) as a final mock.
  • Need ENCOR first: INE Premium ($799/year), which includes the ENCOR path, with Cisco Exam Review: ENCOR ($79) for practice questions.
  • Live and structured: Micronics' nine-day bootcamp ($3,995), then CCIE Practice Labs ($50 per session) to repeat what you covered.
  • Extra lab volume: INE Premium ($799/year) with Narbik's workbook ($128 e-book) for 40+ more worked labs on your own equipment or emulator.
