Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Enterprise Infrastructure (CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure) Practice Tests

Validates hands-on expertise in designing, deploying and optimizing enterprise networks, including routing, SD-WAN, security, services and automation.

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure has two exams: the ENCOR 350-401 written exam, which question banks cover, and an 8-hour hands-on lab, which only lab time covers. We compared the main options on written-exam practice, lab practice and price.

Most people should practise ENCOR with Cisco's Exam Review, then rent Cisco's $50 practice labs for topic drills. Save the $1,000 graded lab for a final dress rehearsal.

Written exam practice

Cisco Exam Review: ENCOR

Cisco's own practice exam for the ENCOR qualifying exam, organised by the six v1.2 domains and updated in July 2026. Candidates say it includes lab items, and you can retake it until access ends.

Great fit if you still need to pass ENCOR and want Cisco-written questions for the current exam.

Poor fit if you have passed ENCOR; it does not prepare you for the lab.

Real-gear lab time

CCIE Practice Labs

Four-hour sessions on a pod with the same devices, software and a representative topology as the real lab. There are no solutions or grading, and your configuration is not saved when the session ends.

Great fit if you want low-cost time on real exam equipment to drill topics such as SD-Access and SD-WAN.

Poor fit if you want a scored readiness check, which the graded lab gives, or have not yet attempted ENCOR; booking needs a written exam attempt at least two weeks old.

Full mock lab

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Graded Lab

A full 8-hour simulation: a 3-hour Design module and a 5-hour Deploy, Operate and Optimize module, each followed by a scored report. Candidates value it mostly for the exam format and a readiness check.

Great fit if you are close to booking the lab and want a dress rehearsal in the real format.

Poor fit if you are still building skills; each module can be attempted once, so drill with the practice labs first.

What to look for in a CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure practice test

  • Treat the written exam and the lab as separate problems. ENCOR 350-401 is a 120-minute exam, the same one CCNP Enterprise uses, and question banks suit it. The 8-hour lab needs gear and cannot be practised with questions, so no single product covers both.
  • Choose by what the lab product gives you. Practice Labs give four hours on real-lab devices but no solutions or grading and nothing saved. The Graded Lab gives one scored attempt at each module, a Design module of up to 3 hours and a Deploy, Operate and Optimize module of up to 5, with optional extensions.
  • Plan for few third-party lab workbooks. INE's sales team told a 2025 candidate it had discontinued lab workbooks and rack rentals. Candidates name Narbik Kocharians' CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Foundation (Cisco Press, 2022, 40+ labs) as the main book and say it covers most but not all of the blueprint, with Kbits labs filling the rest.
  • Know the eligibility and refund rules before you pay. Practice Labs require an earlier attempt at a written exam, and the graded lab assumes you have passed ENCOR. A booked practice lab cannot be cancelled or refunded, and a missed session forfeits the payment.
  • Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual CCIE Enterprise questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. Cisco's certification agreement bans preparing with compromised exam content, and penalties go up to a lifetime exam ban and loss of all your Cisco certifications. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure practice tests

  • Pass ENCOR first, then drill the lab topics. Take a Cisco Exam Review attempt to find weak ENCOR domains, then spend lab time on SD-Access, SD-WAN, automation and the other lab topics ENCOR only touches.
  • Go into each practice session with a plan. Pods start empty, and one candidate who found them worthwhile for SD-WAN and SD-Access practice noted that every lab must be built from scratch. Decide in advance whether you will build, troubleshoot or review, and keep your own notes because nothing is saved.
  • Book practice labs in volume. Cisco sets no number, but one Data Center candidate who failed once now books about 20 sessions before each attempt. The more fluent you are on the real equipment, the more time you have left for final checks.
  • Save the graded lab for the final stretch and export your report. Run both modules as one timed 8-hour day. Cisco says progress is not saved if you exit, and tells you to export each score report so you can view it later.

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure practice test FAQ

Is there a free CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure practice lab?

Cisco does not offer one. Its cheapest official practice is the $50 practice lab session; for the written exam, Pocket Prep gives 30 free ENCOR questions. Free lab books written by candidates also circulate.

Is the CCIE graded lab worth $1,000?

Opinions differ. One candidate found it useful for the question style and for judging readiness, even though their Deploy module failed to grade and Cisco gave a free retake; another replied that it did not work for them. Use it as a final check, not a teaching tool.

How many practice lab sessions do I need?

Cisco gives no number. Candidates describe booking many, and one books about 20 before each attempt. Measure readiness by finishing full topologies on time with minutes left for final checks.

Do ENCOR practice tests help with the lab?

Only a little. They check the written qualifying exam; the lab tests whether you can design, build and troubleshoot a network in a fixed time, which needs gear.
