Study the objectives line by line.
A CV0-004 candidate who already held A+, Network+ and Security+ found the course material and practice tests unreliable, and passed by working through every line of the objectives and researching anything unclear.

Validates knowledge of cloud architecture, deployment, operations, security, DevOps fundamentals and troubleshooting across multi-vendor cloud environments.
Cloud+ tests whether you can design, deploy, operate, secure and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure in any provider. Expect scenarios about service models, networking, scaling, backups, access control and DevOps tools. Study the official objectives closely, use more than one resource, and practise in a free cloud account.
Example scenario: A web shop has heavy traffic in December and little in summer. Which service model and design choices would keep costs down without losing availability?
Example scenario: A company wants to move an on-premises database to the cloud with less than an hour of downtime. What would your migration plan include?
Example scenario: An application slows down every Monday morning. Which metrics and scaling settings would you look at?
Example scenario: A storage bucket with customer files was made public by mistake. What would you change, and how would you prevent it happening again?
Example scenario: A team deploys by copying files to servers by hand. What would a basic CI/CD pipeline change?
Example scenario: A new virtual machine cannot reach the internet, but others in the same network can. What would you check first?

Choose the best answer from the options, or the stated number of answers when a question asks for more than one.
A company wants its developers to deploy code without managing operating systems or servers. Which cloud service model fits best?
B. PaaS provides the runtime and platform, so developers deploy code without managing servers. IaaS would still leave the operating system to them.
Complete a hands-on task in a simulated environment, such as configuring cloud resources or arranging components in a diagram.
A web server must accept web traffic from anyone, and SSH only from the office network 203.0.113.0/24. Select the inbound rules to apply.
Allow TCP 443 from 0.0.0.0/0 and allow TCP 22 from 203.0.113.0/24. Web traffic is public, but administration is limited to the office range.
Read the objectives and test yourself on a short set of questions. Choose one main course or book, check every objective against it, and practise in a free cloud account.
Most candidates spend 40–80 hours. Plan for the low end if you already work in cloud; plan for the high end if networking and security are new to you.
Use the objectives as your main checklist, and one book or course to explain them. Pass reports say the objectives are the most reliable guide to what is tested.
Practise in a real cloud. Use a free-tier account to build a virtual network, a VM, a storage bucket and an access policy, then break and fix each one.
Use more than one question source, because pass reports say no single set matches the exam closely. Review every miss against the objectives.

A CV0-004 candidate who already held A+, Network+ and Security+ found the course material and practice tests unreliable, and passed by working through every line of the objectives and researching anything unclear.
A CV0-003 candidate remembers ports, subnetting, licence types, TLS, IPsec, VPNs, disaster recovery, backups and migrations, and found the course practice tests easier than the exam.
