CompTIA Cloud+ (CV0-004) Practice Tests

Validates knowledge of cloud architecture, deployment, operations, security, DevOps fundamentals and troubleshooting across multi-vendor cloud environments.

Cloud+ CV0-004 is up to 90 questions in 90 minutes: mostly scenario-based multiple choice, a few performance-based questions (PBQs) and some code reading. Practice material for it is thin. We compared the main options on exam-style wording, PBQ coverage and price.

Jason Dion and Professor Messer, the usual CompTIA picks, have no Cloud+ practice exams. Start with CompTIA's free 10 questions, then add Total Seminars or Pocket Prep for volume and CertMaster Practice for official PBQ-style tasks.

CompTIA Cloud+ Practice Test (V4)

CompTIA's own sample set for the current exam, with an answer key at the end. The quickest way to see how CompTIA words a scenario question.

Great fit if you want a first look at official question style before paying for anything.

Poor fit if you need explanations or a full-length run; move on to Total Seminars or Pocket Prep.

Cheap domain checks

TOTAL: CompTIA Cloud+ (CV0-004): 4 Practice Tests

Four 50-question multiple-choice tests with an explanation for every answer option and wrong answers tied back to their domain. The listing also holds two older CV0-003 tests, which you can skip.

Great fit if you want a well-reviewed, low-cost set to check progress domain by domain.

Poor fit if you want PBQ-style tasks or a large bank; add Pocket Prep or CertMaster Practice.

Study on your phone

Pocket Prep CompTIA Cloud+

Short quizzes and a mock exam of fresh questions, each with an explanation, plus a running score for each of the six domains. Better for spare minutes than for rehearsing a 90-minute sitting.

Great fit if you study in short sessions on your phone and want weak-domain tracking.

Poor fit if you want a one-time purchase or PBQ practice; choose Total Seminars or CertMaster Practice.

Exam-mode practice

MeasureUp CompTIA Cloud+ CV0-004 Practice Test

A bank weighted to the CV0-004 objectives, with a timed certification mode for exam-style runs and a practice mode for targeted drills. One passer used it alongside a study guide and video courses.

Great fit if you want a polished simulator for a timed run and will use it within a short access window.

Poor fit if you want many questions per dollar; Pocket Prep and Total Seminars cost less.

Official objective drills

CompTIA CertMaster Practice for Cloud+ (CV0-004)

CompTIA's adaptive practice tool, with objective quizzes, a mastery score per objective and a timed practice test that includes PBQs. Candidate views on question quality are mixed.

Great fit if you want official PBQ-style practice or already get it in a CompTIA bundle.

Poor fit if you are paying yourself; Total Seminars and Pocket Prep cost far less for plain multiple choice.

What to look for in a Cloud+ practice test

  • Make sure it says CV0-004. CV0-004 (V4) launched on 24 September 2024 and is the only current Cloud+ exam; CompTIA estimates retirement in 2027 and has announced no successor. Some listings still mix in CV0-003 tests, so check the title and the individual test names.
  • Expect fewer options and uneven quality. Cloud+ has far less third-party practice than Security+ or Network+, and many newer Udemy sets have few or no reviews. Prefer sets with ratings, a stated question count and explanations.
  • Look for PBQ and code-reading practice. The exam allows up to 90 questions in 90 minutes, and candidates report 74 to 76 questions with 2 or 3 PBQs, plus 5 to 10 questions on reading cron jobs, infrastructure-as-code or Dockerfile snippets. Only CertMaster Practice advertises PBQs; the other products here are multiple choice.
  • Choose explanations that cover every option. Most questions ask for the BEST solution, so you learn from why the other options fail. Total Seminars explains all options and Pocket Prep explains each question; CompTIA's free test shows only an answer key.
  • Treat difficulty reports with caution. One passer found Sybex practice questions overly easy, while another failed both CertMaster tests but did well on Udemy sets. No single product predicts your result, so use two sources.
  • Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual CV0-004 questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. CompTIA's candidate agreement counts using brain dumps as misconduct and lets CompTIA revoke every CompTIA certification you hold. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use Cloud+ practice tests

  • Start with a short diagnostic. Take CompTIA's 10 questions first and note which of the six domains you miss: architecture (23%), deployment (19%), security (19%), operations (17%), troubleshooting (12%) or DevOps fundamentals (10%).
  • Read the explanation for every miss and every guess. Passers point to backup types, the 6 Rs of cloud migration, permissions and security, and VPC networking as recurring topics. Write down why the correct option wins and why yours lost.
  • Practise the code and console tasks separately. Question banks rarely cover script reading well, so read short cron, Terraform-style and Dockerfile examples and click through a free-tier cloud account or a homelab.
  • Save timed full runs for the last stretch. Chain tests to 90 questions in 90 minutes, and consider leaving PBQs until the multiple-choice questions are done, as one passer did.
  • Avoid memorising repeats. Retaking a test measures recall, not understanding. Switch sources for later runs and use the official objectives as the checklist.

Cloud+ practice test FAQ

Are there free Cloud+ practice tests?

Yes. CompTIA publishes a free 10-question CV0-004 (V4) practice test with an answer key. Beyond that sample, the full-length options are paid, so use the free test as a diagnostic.

Do Jason Dion or Professor Messer have Cloud+ practice exams?

No. Neither publishes a Cloud+ practice exam, and candidates who normally use them look elsewhere. Total Seminars, Pocket Prep, MeasureUp and CompTIA's CertMaster Practice are the main options.

Does the Cloud+ exam have PBQs?

Yes. It has up to 90 questions including PBQs, and candidates report 2 or 3 of them, plus several questions that ask you to read a script or configuration snippet. CertMaster Practice's timed test includes PBQs; the other products here are multiple choice.

Are Cloud+ practice tests harder than the real exam?

Reports are mixed: one candidate found CertMaster's tests much harder than Udemy sets, another found Sybex questions overly easy. Some passers rate the real exam between Security+ and Network+ in difficulty, so treat one score as a rough signal.
