Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Courses

Validates foundational knowledge of the Scrum Product Owner role, including goal setting, customer understanding and Product Backlog management.

A good CSPO course is a live class with a Certified Scrum Trainer, because there is no exam and the class itself earns the certification. We compared the live online options on trainer, format, price and what the fee includes.

Read the free Scrum Guide first, then book a live online CSPO class; the class itself earns the certification. Madhavi Ledalla and Brad Swanson both teach GrabAgile's 16-hour class at $399, so pick the trainer and dates that suit you.

How to choose a CSPO course

  • Take a live class. CSPO has no test. You earn it by completing a live class with a Certified Scrum Trainer, online or in person.
  • Check the hours. A CSPO class is about 16 hours, usually over two days. Book one listed on Scrum Alliance's course finder.
  • Compare trainers and dates. Each training company sets its own fee, and current live online classes on the course finder are $399. Choose by trainer experience and the date that fits your calendar.
  • Check what the fee includes. The class fee includes the certification and two years of Scrum Alliance membership. Renewal later costs $100 and 20 SEUs.

Recommended CSPO course combinations
