MD-102 runs 100 minutes, and Microsoft says most of its exams have 40 to 60 questions. Expect Intune scenarios with exhibits and a case study, where you pick the right policy, profile or setting, with Microsoft Learn open. What to look for in a MD-102 practice test

Match the current skills list. MD-102 has five areas: prepare infrastructure (20-25%), manage and maintain devices (25-30%), protect devices (15-20%), manage and secure apps (15-20%) and automation, monitoring and reporting (10-15%). That last area covers PowerShell, Microsoft Graph and Security Copilot agents in Intune, and the English exam moves to the October 27, 2026 skills list.
Expect long scenarios, exhibits and a case study. The exam runs 100 minutes, which Microsoft sets for exams without labs. Candidates report about 57 questions, including a five-question case study, with tables and exhibits to read before choosing a policy or setting.
Know where the free assessment sits. Microsoft's practice assessment is the easiest of the options: candidates often score 80-95% on it and still find the real exam harder. MeasureUp is the closest in format and usually a little harder than the exam.
Treat cheap third-party sets as drills. Candidates warn that some Udemy MD-102 sets are outdated or have wrong answers. Read the update date and recent reviews, and look up any answer you doubt in Microsoft Learn.
Practise with Microsoft Learn open. Associate exams let you open Microsoft Learn in a split screen while the timer keeps running. Learn to find Intune and Entra pages quickly, because looking up every question will not fit in the time.
Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual MD-102 questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. Microsoft's exam policies count brain dumps as cheating and let Microsoft revoke your certifications and bar you from future exams. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use MD-102 practice tests

Take the free assessment first. Do it after your first pass through the material, read every rationale, and note which of the five areas you missed. Do not retake it until you have studied, or you will just remember the answers.
Turn misses into lab time. Many questions turn on where a setting lives or which profile type applies, so re-create each missed item in a trial tenant instead of re-reading the explanation.
Use MeasureUp's Certification Mode late. Run a timed pass with no hints in the last week or two. MeasureUp's own bar is 90% twice, but candidates passed with mid-80s, and one passed on 752 while scoring around 60%.
Skip old-exam material. Candidates report MDT and other on-premises questions in older banks that the current exam no longer stresses, so do not spend time on them.
Avoid memorising repeats. A bank of 197 questions is easy to memorise after a couple of passes. Wait before retaking a test, and aim to explain why each wrong option is wrong.
