Great fit if you want topic-by-topic quizzes on GKE, networking and storage on top of a full-length set.

What to look for in a ACE practice test

Check it follows the 2026 guide. The current guide has four sections (about 20%, 30%, 30% and 20%) and uses the renamed products, such as Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform for Vertex AI. Google says the exam was updated for branding changes, so a bank last revised before 2026 may use older names.
Expect scenario questions, not labs. The exam is 50 to 60 multiple-choice and multiple-select questions in 2 hours. One passer counted only 2 or 3 gcloud command questions, so scenario practice matters more than memorising commands.
Look for IAM, GKE, networking and billing coverage. Passers in 2026 name these as the heaviest areas, with only two or three AI questions. A good bank drills least-privilege roles, GKE workloads, VPC options, billing exports and logging.
Expect real wording to be trickier. Candidates say the real answer choices are closer together than Google's sample, and one passer found only 3 to 5 of 400+ practice questions on the exam. Choose banks with explanations that say why near-miss options fail.
Pair a large bank with a cheap one. Sayyam's six exams give volume, while Tutorials Dojo's $15 set adds section drills. You do not need all of them.
Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual Associate Cloud Engineer questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. Google Cloud's exam terms ban using exam content found online and let Google revoke any or all of your certifications and bar you from the program. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use ACE practice tests

Try Google's sample cold. Take the free 20 questions before heavy study to see the format, and remember Google says the score does not predict your result.
Do the exams with feedback on. A candidate who passed advises reviewing every miss against the official docs rather than repeating one test until you remember the answers.
Log misses by section. Track them against the four sections, and spend extra time on the 30% sections: planning and implementing, and ensuring successful operation.
Practise in the console. Labs make IAM, GKE and networking questions much easier to reason about, and Google's free tier and Google Skills labs cover most of them.
Finish with timed, full-length runs. Take 50 or more questions in a single 2-hour sitting late in your prep, and avoid memorising a set you will see again.

Are there free Associate Cloud Engineer practice tests?

Yes. Google publishes a free 20-question sample form that asks for your name, email and organization. Tutorials Dojo offers a free 20-question sampler with a login, and Whizlabs and GCP Study Hub each give a small free test.

Are ACE practice tests harder than the real exam?

It varies by product. A passer found the real exam at least 10% harder than Google's sample, and another after the syllabus update found only 3 to 5 practice questions resembled the exam, so use scores as a guide to weak areas, not a prediction.

How many questions are on the ACE exam?
