Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) (EX200) Courses

Validates practical skills in administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including software, storage, file systems, networking, users and security.

RHCSA is a hands-on exam: you configure live RHEL 10 systems and your changes must survive a reboot. A good course teaches the objectives and gives you labs and mock exams to practise on. We compared the options on RHEL 10 coverage, labs, format and price.

Most people should start with Sander van Vugt's RHEL 10 video course, which has labs in every lesson and a sample exam. Choose his Cert Guide for the lowest price, KodeKloud for browser labs, and Red Hat's RH199 class when your employer pays.

Red Hat RHCSA 10 Cert Guide

A 672-page study guide in 27 chapters, with end-of-chapter labs, quizzes and four practice tests. It was published in June 2026 for RHEL 10.

Poor fit if you want video instruction; choose van Vugt's video course

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Andrei Balint's course with hands-on labs in nearly every module and four mock exams, all in the browser. The Standard plan also covers KodeKloud's other Linux, Kubernetes and DevOps courses.

Great fit if you want labs without building your own virtual machines

Employer-funded class

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Rapid Track course (RH199)

Red Hat's own accelerated class, combining RH124 and RH134 and taught on RHEL 10. It is built for people who already work at the Linux command line and covers users and groups, SELinux, storage, boot troubleshooting, firewalls and NFS.

Great fit if your employer pays for training and you already administer Linux

Poor fit if you are paying yourself or are new to Linux; choose Sander van Vugt's video course, or start with Red Hat's RH124 class

How to choose a RHCSA course

  • Match RHEL 10. EX200 runs on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Van Vugt's course and Cert Guide and Red Hat's RH199 are written for it, while KodeKloud's course does not name the RHEL 10 objectives.
  • Practise on a real system. The exam is entirely hands-on, with no multiple choice. Choose a course with labs, or build your own RHEL 10 virtual machine.
  • Consider labs without setup. KodeKloud's labs run in the browser, so you do not have to build virtual machines.
  • Check your Linux level. RH199 is for people who already work at the Linux command line. Red Hat recommends starting with RH124 if you do not.

Recommended RHCSA course combinations

  • Lowest cost: Sander van Vugt's Cert Guide ($44 e-book), which includes four practice tests, and Ghada Atef's six mock exams ($20).
  • Video with labs: Van Vugt's video course ($560) with Pateson Vades's full practice exams ($20) as extra mocks.
  • Browser labs: KodeKloud ($35/month) with its four mock exams, then Ghada Atef's six hands-on mock tests ($20).
  • Employer pays and you know Linux: Red Hat's RH199 class with Asghar Ghori's exam preparation guide ($60).
