SAFe Agilist Practice Tests

Validates knowledge of leading with SAFe, including Lean-Agile mindset, team agility, product flow, portfolio management and leading change.

The AI-Empowered SAFe Agilist exam is 45 single-answer questions in 90 minutes, so good practice means full-length single-answer sets. We compared the main options on official coverage, question volume and price.

Most people should start with Scaled Agile's own unlimited practice test in their SAFe Studio learning plan, which mirrors the exam's length, difficulty and domains. Add a third-party set only if you want extra questions.

Official practice test

SAFe Agilist practice test

The official 45-question, 90-minute practice test in your SAFe Studio learning plan, with question-level feedback, reference guidance for wrong answers and a coaching report.

Great fit if you took Leading SAFe and want the closest match to the real exam before you use your exam attempts.

Poor fit if you want a large bank of fresh questions; add a third-party set once you have reviewed this one.

Most-reviewed third-party

AI-Empowered SAFe Agilist SA Practice Exams

Six 45-question, 90-minute exams with explanations. The outline includes the two AI topics added to the exam, and the listing says it is not official or leaked material.

Great fit if you finished the official practice test and want more full-length exams with explanations.

Poor fit if you are on a tight budget; the Udemy set from Satyajit Gantayat costs less.

Budget second set

AI-Empowered SAFe Agilist 6.0 Practice Tests 2026

Six 45-question, 90-minute exams where every answer option is explained. The author lists SAFe Practice Consultant credentials; fewer reviews than the other Udemy set.

Great fit if you want a cheap second set of timed exams with an explanation for every option.

Poor fit if you want a set with a long review history; see the Ashish Lahoti set.

What to look for in a SA practice test

  • Built for the AI-Empowered exam. The exam is still 45 questions in 90 minutes, but it now includes AI topics (Empower agility with AI, Empower leaders with AI). Many Udemy sets are still labelled SAFe 6.0, so check that the outline lists the AI topics.
  • Single-answer scenario questions at exam length. Every question is single-select, closed book, and unanswered questions count as wrong. Choose 45-question, 90-minute tests so you practise the same pacing.
  • Use the official practice test first. It matches the exam's question count, timebox and domains, is unlimited, and gives question-level feedback with a coaching report. Third-party sets add volume, not a better match.
  • Written from the framework, not "real questions". Avoid sets that promise real or leaked exam questions. Prefer ones written from the SAFe articles and Leading SAFe workbook, with an explanation for each answer.
  • Coverage of all six domains. Product Development Flow (25-28%), Build a Foundation (21-23%) and Lean Portfolio Management (21-23%) carry most marks, but every domain appears, so a set that skews to PI Planning alone will mislead you.
  • Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual SAFe Agilist questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. Scaled Agile's candidate agreement bans using actual exam questions or answers and lets it revoke your certification or ban you from the program. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use SA practice tests

  • Take the official practice test as a diagnostic after the class. It opens in your learning plan once the instructor confirms attendance. Note which domains cost you marks before you reread anything.
  • Read the framework article behind each miss. The official feedback maps each domain to the lesson it came from. Reading the SAFe article for a missed question helps more than retaking the test.
  • Track the three heaviest domains. Check your score in Product Development Flow, Foundation and Lean Portfolio Management separately, because a strong total can hide a weak spot there.
  • Do not memorise the practice test. Candidates warn that live exam questions are not the same as the practice test's. Switch to third-party sets late in your prep to see fresh wording.
  • Run one full 90-minute exam before you book. Your two included exam attempts must be used within 60 days of the class, so use the practice runs to find gaps first.

SA practice test FAQ

Is there a free SAFe Agilist practice test?

Scaled Agile's own practice test is unlimited and has no separate charge: it sits in your SAFe Studio learning plan once you have taken a class. It is the only official practice test, and the free third-party tests that exist (Agilemania, Learners Ink) follow the older SAFe 6.0 outline.

How hard is the SAFe Agilist exam?

You need 36 of 45 correct (80%), so you can miss about nine. Candidates who took the class often call it manageable, but reports are mixed on how the live exam compares with the practice test.

How many SAFe Agilist practice tests should I take?

Take the official practice test until you understand why every answer is right, then one or two full third-party exams for fresh wording. More repeats of one test measure memory, not knowledge.

Are SAFe Agilist practice questions the same as the real exam?

No. The official practice test is built to match the exam's length, difficulty and domains, but candidates report that the live questions differ.
