Good fit if
You work in or are moving into enterprise architecture
You want to prove you can apply the ADM to scenarios
Job postings or RFPs ask for TOGAF Practitioner, not Foundation
No required prerequisites. No prerequisite for the combined Part 1 and Part 2 exam.
Part 2 alone needs TOGAF EA Foundation, or a Part 1 pass on the same day at the same test centre. TOGAF 9 Certified holders can take the shorter Bridge exam instead.

What holders say
Builds credibility as you move from IT or solutions architecture into EA
People moving from infrastructure, SRE or solutions architecture into EA say the certification is close to a baseline expectation. The actual route runs through senior solutions-architecture or business-analyst experience.
The certification alone doesn't get you the job, the career path does
TOGAF alone will not move you into an EA role. The realistic path runs through solutions architecture, technical architecture or senior business-analyst work first, since EA needs a longer strategic horizon.
Certified practitioners say they rarely apply it directly, day to day
Certified architects say they rarely use the framework's specific artifacts or steps in the role, treating it as shared vocabulary and a toolbox, and warn against equating the certificate with the job.
