TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner (OGEA-103) Practice Tests

Validates the ability to apply the TOGAF Standard and its Architecture Development Method to enterprise architecture scenarios.

TOGAF Practitioner's Part 2 (OGEA-102) is eight long scenarios in 90 minutes, open book, where you rank four answers, so practice means reading scenarios, not recalling facts. Part 1 is 40 closed-book questions in 60 minutes. We compared the main options on official wording, scenario practice and price.

Most people should start with The Open Group's $15 Part 2 test, which candidates say matches the real style best, and add third-party scenario sets for extra repetitions. Combined-exam takers also need a Part 1 test.

Official scenario style

TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Part 2 Practice Test

The exam owner's own scenario test in the real question format. Candidates sit it under exam conditions with the Standard open and use the answer rationale and references to study.

Great fit if you want the closest match to the real scenarios and the best-versus-second-best answer style.

Poor fit if you want many scenarios to practise on; add a third-party set after it. You can skip buying it separately if you buy the Practitioner Study Guide.

Official Part 1 check

TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Part 1 Practice Test

The Open Group's Part 1 test in the real question formats. It covers the closed-book first section of the combined exam, which you cannot return to once Part 2 starts.

Great fit if you are taking the combined exam (OGEA-103) and need to check the Part 1 terms and ADM facts.

Poor fit if you already hold Foundation and are taking Part 2 alone.

Both exam parts

EA TOGAF 10 Foundation & Practitioner practice tests

Three Part 2 scenario exams and three full Part 1 exams, refreshed for the 10th Edition in 2024 and again in June 2026. More than 500 ratings, and a Part 2 passer in July 2026 used the Part 2 sets.

Great fit if you are taking the combined exam and want Part 1 and Part 2 sets in one purchase after the official tests.

Poor fit if you want a large Part 2 bank; it has three scenario exams, so pair it with the Schulz and Smuda Part 2 pack.

Industry case scenarios

Practice Test Pack for TOGAF EA Practitioner Certification

Six sets of eight scenario questions, each set built around a different industry such as construction or pharmaceuticals, with explanations and references to the Standard.

Great fit if you want many extra scenarios to rank and review after you have done the official Part 2 test.

Poor fit if you want the official ranking style; its reviews are mixed, so use it after The Open Group's test.

What to look for in a TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner practice test

  • Ranked answers, not one right answer. Part 2 is eight scenarios with four options each, and the best answer scores 5 points while weaker ones score less. Pick sets that explain why the second-best answer loses points, not just which option is correct.
  • Practice with the Standard open. The Standard is built into the real exam through a Reference button and you cannot bring your own copy. A good set cites sections of the Standard in its explanations, so you can practise finding them quickly.
  • The Open Group's wording first. Candidates who passed say the official Part 2 test shows the real language and logic, and that other sources never quite capture it. Treat third-party sets as extra repetitions, not as a guide to difficulty.
  • Enough scenarios for several timed runs. The exam is only eight scenarios, so one run is 90 minutes. The official test is one paper, the Udemy sets run from 24 to 48 scenarios, and a few unseen runs are worth more than many repeats.
  • Check the edition. Buy sets written for the TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition and OGEA-102. The Open Group still sells TOGAF 9 practice tests, and a Part 2 scenario built on the old text can lead you to the wrong section.
  • Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual TOGAF Practitioner questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. The Open Group treats brain dumps as cheating and can cancel your score, revoke your certification and ban you from its exams. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner practice tests

  • Sit the official Part 2 test under exam conditions first. Give it 90 minutes with the Standard open, then read the rationale for every answer, including those you got right. It is your best read on whether the scenario style is clicking.
  • Name the ADM phase and the stakeholders before you read the options. Passing candidates say the best answer keeps you in the current phase, puts stakeholders first and does not jump to a solution. Look for the weakest option first and rank from there.
  • Study the gap between best and second best. Two candidates who failed Part 2 in public threads said the answer options looked almost identical. For each scenario write one line on why the best answer beat the runner-up.
  • Practise navigating the Standard under time. Ninety minutes for eight scenarios is about 11 minutes each. Practise finding a phase's inputs, outputs and objectives in the reference quickly, because the exam does not expect you to have memorised the text.
  • Add a Part 1 test if you take the combined exam. Part 1 is closed book, comes first and cannot be revisited once Part 2 starts. Take a Part 1 practice test before the scenario work so the terms are automatic.

TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner practice test FAQ

Are there free TOGAF Practitioner practice tests?

The Open Group sells its Part 2 test for $14.99 and includes it with the $39.99 Practitioner Study Guide. Free question sets online are not from The Open Group and many are recalled exam questions, so avoid them.

Is the real TOGAF Part 2 exam harder than the practice tests?

Reports differ. One candidate who passed found the official practice exams much easier than the real exam, while others passed with the official tests as their main practice. Two who failed Part 2 said the answer options in the real exam were extremely close in wording.

How many TOGAF Part 2 practice tests should I take?

Start with the official test, then do two or three more timed sets of eight scenarios, reviewing why the best answer beat the runner-up each time. More repeats help less than understanding the ranking.

Is TOGAF Part 2 open book?

Yes. The TOGAF Standard is built into the exam through a Reference button, and you cannot bring your own copy. Part 1 of the combined exam is closed book.
