How to choose a DP-900 course

Cover all four skill areas. DP-900 tests core data concepts, relational data, non-relational data and analytics on Azure, including Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Power BI. The skill areas changed only slightly on 21 July 2026.
Match the depth to your background. There is no experience requirement. Scott Duffy's course runs 4.5 hours and in28Minutes' runs 7.5 hours, so pick the longer one if data concepts are new to you.
Pick one course and one practice set. The exam is 40 to 60 questions in 45 minutes. One course plus the free practice assessment is enough for most people.
Learn the pairs. Many questions turn on pairs such as transactional versus analytical, batch versus streaming, and SQL Database versus SQL Managed Instance. Choose a course that compares them side by side.
