How to choose a AZ-900 course

  • Match the current outline. Microsoft updated the AZ-900 skills outline on July 20, 2026. Microsoft's own course follows it, and Scott Duffy's course is updated for the July 2026 exam.
  • Start free. AZ-900 is an entry-level exam with no experience requirement, and Microsoft's course covers all three skill areas at no cost. Pay for a course only if you want video.
  • Add practice questions. A course teaches the material, but a question bank shows how Microsoft words its questions. Scott Duffy's course includes two practice tests; otherwise start with Microsoft's free practice assessment.
  • Try the exercises. The exam does not ask you to configure anything, but doing Microsoft's exercises in a free Azure trial makes the services easier to remember.

Recommended AZ-900 course combinations
