Summary
CSSGB is ASQ's practitioner-level Six Sigma certification, for people who run or support data-driven improvement projects. It tests the full DMAIC method, lean tools and the statistics behind them, so employers read it as applied improvement skill, not just classroom knowledge.

What holders say
Most worth it when your employer pays
The top answer in an October 2024 engineering thread says Six Sigma certification is worth it only if your employer pays. Others add that many companies run their own belt training.
ASQ is the name commenters pick when paying yourself
Commenters say anyone can issue a Six Sigma certificate, so an exam from a recognized body such as ASQ carries more weight. Companies mostly use their own programs.
A manufacturing holder in Canada still has no continuous improvement role a year after certifying, but recommends it for what the handbook teaches about data analysis and project work.

Do I need experience for CSSGB?
