How to choose a ECBA course

  • Match the July 2025 exam. IIBA replaced the recall-based ECBA with a situation-based exam across nine domains. Watermark's course follows the 2025 blueprint and Adaptive US's covers the nine domains.
  • You do not need training hours. ECBA has no experience or training-hours requirement, so the 21 PD hours in the paid courses are optional.
  • Prioritize situation questions. The exam has 50 questions in 75 minutes. Choose a course with plenty of practice questions: Watermark's has 400+ and Adaptive US's has 1,000+.
  • Use what the exam already includes. The $395 exam includes the Learning Journey, a year of IIBA membership and a practice exam, so you may not need a paid course.
