How to choose a MS-102 course

  • Finish before November 30, 2026. MS-102 and the Administrator Expert certification retire on that date and cannot be earned afterwards. Microsoft names AB-650 as the follow-on.
  • Match the current skills list. Microsoft last updated the skills measured on April 28, 2026. Microsoft's own course follows that list, and the paid courses here cover MS-102.
  • Get hands-on practice. The exam is built around admin tasks. John Christopher's simulations, or a trial tenant, let you practise settings before the exam.
  • Plan for the second exam. The certification needs one of four associate certifications as well as MS-102. Check which one you hold before you start.
