Program Management Professional (PgMP) Courses

Validates knowledge of program management, including strategic alignment, life cycle management, benefits delivery, stakeholder engagement and governance.

PgMP questions are short program-level scenarios where several answers are partly right, so a good course teaches the Standard's terms and a program manager's point of view. We compared the main options on teaching, practice, support and price.

Read PMI's Standard for Program Management first, then take iZenBridge's self-paced course ($299), which includes 1,200+ questions and five full mocks. Choose PMTraining's live class if your employer pays and you want an instructor.

Poor fit if you want questions and explanations; choose the iZenBridge course

How to choose a PgMP course

  • Read the Standard first. The March 2024 exam outline is aligned to The Standard for Program Management, 5th edition, and uses its terms and processes.
  • Get practice, not only lessons. PMI sells no practice exam, so a course with full mocks matters. iZenBridge includes five full-length mocks and 1,200+ questions.
  • Study while the panel reviews. Submit your application first, because the panel review can take weeks. Use that time on the Standard and a course.
  • Pay for live classes only if someone else does. PMTraining's three-day class costs $998 to $1,498, against $299 for iZenBridge's six-month self-paced program.

Recommended PgMP course combinations

  • Lowest cost: The Standard for Program Management (free for PMI members), iZenBridge's free 170-question mock test and Mohammad Farhat's PgMP Mock Tests ($20).
  • Most complete self-study: iZenBridge's Self-Paced Program ($299) with its five full mocks, plus Farhat's two full exams ($20).
  • Live and structured: PMTraining's live class (from $998), which includes an exam simulator, plus Alaa Sultan's Real Practice Exams ($50) as a second question set.
