PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Courses

Validates knowledge of agile mindset, leadership, product and delivery practices across Scrum, Kanban, Lean and hybrid approaches.

A good PMI-ACP course gives you the 21 hours of agile training PMI requires and teaches you to judge scenarios across Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and hybrid delivery. We compared the main options on both, along with practice and price.

Most people should take Andrew Ramdayal's TIA bundle: the 28-hour course plus six mock exams for $60. Take the course alone for $30 if you already have a question bank, and choose PMI's own course when your employer pays.

PMI-ACP Exam Prep Course

PMI's on-demand course is aligned to the current PMI-ACP outline and provides the 21 training hours PMI requires. It is self-paced and comes from the organisation that sets the exam.

Great fit if your employer pays and wants the official course

Poor fit if you are paying yourself; TIA's course gives the same hours for $30

How to choose a PMI-ACP course

  • Get your 21 hours. PMI requires 21 hours of agile training with a certificate of completion before you apply. All three options provide it, and TIA's gives 28 contact hours.
  • Remember the experience requirement. You also need agile experience, usually 2 years in the past 5, or an active PMP. A course does not replace it.
  • Cover more than Scrum. The exam tests Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and hybrid approaches. Choose a course organized around the outline, not around one framework.
  • Look for scenario practice. PMI-ACP questions are long scenarios. TIA's bundle gives 840 questions with video explanations, the most practice of the three.

Recommended PMI-ACP course combinations

  • Lowest cost: TIA's course ($30) with iZenBridge's Free PMI-ACP Mock Test and Andrew Ramdayal's free 120 Agile PMI-ACP or PMP Questions on YouTube.
  • Course and practice in one: TIA's bundle ($60), then PMI Study Hall for PMI-ACP ($49 for 3 months) for PMI-written questions.
  • Employer pays: PMI's PMI-ACP Exam Prep Course with PMI's PMI-ACP Practice Exam ($99) as an official final check.
  • Extra timed mocks: TIA's course ($30) with iZenBridge's PMI-ACP Study Mate ($67) for timed full-length mock exams.
