Sybex is Wiley’s certification-book imprint, publishing study guides and practice tests for credentials including CISSP, CCSP and Security+. Some books include online question-bank access.
A candidate who passed Security+ SY0-701 on the first try used the Sybex study guide with its practice questions and 12 months of online access. They said the questions were harder than the real test, which helped them learn.
A learner with no IT background who read the whole Chapple and Seidl Security+ guide was scoring 65 to 68% on practice sets and asked whether the book matched the real exam. One reply suggested Darril Gibson's Security+ book.
In a CISSP thread on the 10th edition, one commenter called the guide complete but dense and found Destination Certification's book easier to read. Another read it first and learned a lot from it. A third passed using the ISC2 content including the Wiley online practice tests.
