ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Practice Tests

Validates knowledge of configuring and administering ServiceNow, including users and access, forms, service catalog, automation and data integration.

The CSA is 60 questions in 90 minutes, single-answer and choose-all-that-apply, led by database management and platform security. We compared the main options on official coverage, question volume and price.

ServiceNow's only official practice exams come through MeasureUp, and its free material is five sample questions. Most people should take the free sample, finish the free Administration Fundamentals course, then use MeasureUp or a Udemy set to find gaps.

CSA blueprint sample questions

Five official questions with answers, covering navigation, task lists, transform maps, variable types and scripting. Enough to see the wording; not a readiness check.

Great fit if you want a free look at the official question style before paying for practice.

Poor fit if you need a score or timed practice; use MeasureUp's official test.

Official practice test

ServiceNow Official Practice Test CSA

The practice test ServiceNow University endorses, mapped to the six blueprint domains. It has an untimed practice mode with explanations and a timed certification mode, and a free demo.

Great fit if you want ServiceNow's endorsed practice, with explanations for each option, after finishing the official course.

Poor fit if you want harder questions; some candidates find it simpler than the real exam, so back it with PDI practice and a second set (see Udemy).

Full mock exams

2026 Practice Tests: ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA)

Six full-length sets with explanations, screenshots and reference links, updated in September 2026 to the latest ServiceNow release. The instructor labels it unofficial.

Great fit if you want several full mock exams at a fixed price after your main course.

Poor fit if you want ServiceNow's own wording; start with MeasureUp, then add this for extra sets.

Domain drills

Practice Tests by Domain: ServiceNow System Admin (CSA)

One practice test per blueprint domain, with the largest sets for self-service and automation and for database management and security. Updated to the Zurich release; unofficial.

Great fit if you want to drill one weak domain, such as database management and platform security, rather than sit full mocks.

Poor fit if you want timed full-length practice; use the full-mock set or MeasureUp's certification mode.

What to look for in a CSA practice test

  • Built for the January 2026 blueprint. The exam is 60 questions in 90 minutes across six domains: database management and platform security 30%, collaboration and self service and automation 20% each, data migration and integration 13%, instance configuration 10%, platform overview 7%. Pick a set mapped to those domains.
  • Know what official means. ServiceNow says its official practice exams are available through MeasureUp, and that study materials posted elsewhere are not official. Treat third-party sets as extra practice, not as the exam's wording.
  • Both question formats. The exam has single-answer questions and choose-all-that-apply questions, with no partial credit on the latter. Make sure your practice includes questions that tell you how many answers to pick.
  • Current release and update date. ServiceNow releases twice a year and the exam reference material moves with it, so check the last-updated date on any set. The Udemy sets here show September 2026 and April 2026 updates.
  • Explanations that point to the platform. Candidates say the exam rewards platform experience and the official course content more than question volume, so prefer sets that explain each option and link to documentation.
  • Skip sites selling "real exam questions." Sites promising actual ServiceNow CSA questions or a guaranteed pass are selling leaked or copied items. ServiceNow bans exam dumps and guaranteed-pass sites, and a violation gets your certification revoked. A real practice test explains why each answer is right; a dump only lists answers.

How to use CSA practice tests

  • Do the course and build in a personal instance first. Take the free Administration Fundamentals course, follow each topic in a free Personal Developer Instance, then use practice questions to find gaps rather than to learn the material.
  • Check every miss on the platform. Candidates who passed advise looking up each wrong answer in the instance. Navigation paths, ACLs and import sets are easier to recall once you have clicked through them.
  • Weight your time by domain. Database management and platform security is 30% of the exam, and candidates often single out ACLs, import sets and the CMDB as the hard parts.
  • Do one timed full run late. Sixty questions in 90 minutes gives 90 seconds per question. MeasureUp's certification mode and the Udemy full mocks both suit one rehearsal a week or two out.

CSA practice test FAQ

Are there free ServiceNow CSA practice tests?

Only a small one. The blueprint ends with five official sample questions, and MeasureUp offers a free demo. ServiceNow's on-demand Administration Fundamentals course and a Personal Developer Instance are free for hands-on practice.

Is there an official CSA practice exam?

Yes. ServiceNow University partnered with MeasureUp, whose 120-question test has a practice mode and a timed certification mode. List prices are $99 for 30 days, $109 for 60 days and $119 for one year.

Are CSA practice tests harder than the real exam?

It depends on the set. Candidates have found the Udemy sets harder than the real exam, and some candidates describe MeasureUp as simpler than the real exam.

How many practice tests should I take?

After finishing the course and labs, two or three full sets are plenty. Review every answer, and use domain-level drills on your weakest area rather than repeating a set you remember.
